Greenfield's history goes far beyond the hills and rivers that form our borders, and far beyond this site! Here are some places to find out more.

The Library of Congress contains many Greenfield items, including early fire insurance maps and Public Works era photos
The Internet Archive has digitized a great deal of print material, including A History of Western Massachusetts, A History of Greenfield (vol 1), and the Proceedings of the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association
The Boston Public Library's Digital Commonwealth has several postcards and letters of Greenfield and surrounding towns.
The Greenfield Recorder, one of the nation's oldest newspapers, often runs articles on local history. Click the link here and type "Greenfield history" into the search bar. (Greenfield history, without the quotes, will get you even more results!)
