2022 Events:
Sept 15: Anne Lanning gave a presentation on taverns and tavernkeepers of the 18th century over ZOOM, attended by about 25 people. Our 2022 off-site exhibit on the Mansion House connects to this talk!
July 23: Ice cream social in honor of HSG founder Mary P Wells Smith. On one of the hottest days of summer, we hosted about 30 people for ice cream, photo ops, and chatting on the lawn.
June 16: Jonathan Boschen presented in person at the St James and St Andrew's church on the history of theaters in Greenfield, including the Victoria Theater in this postcard. 25 people attended
May 19: Richard Little, retired professor of geology, presented a program featuring a special product of our local landscape history, the mudball. 25 people gathered safely at St James and St Andrews Church to hear the talk. Our 2022 exhibit on Dexter Marsh and Dr. James Deane and the discovery of local fossils connects to this talk!
