The exhibits on the first floor rotate - check back to see what's new!
2023 Exhibits Include:
Children of Greenfield, a sampling of childhood
Signs of Other Times: business signs and advertising What Do We Do With The Stuff?!: how items become artifacts |
Rivers, Roads, and Railroads: transportation in our town
Tapping In to History: Greenfield Tap & Die Dexter Marsh, Dr. James Deane & the discovery of dino tracks |
Some exhibits stay in place for many years due to the "evergreen" nature of the topic, like the history of Greenfield Tap & Die and the painting of our founder, Mary P. Wells Smith. Others are very time-specific, like the Langstroth bee hive that comes down each year for Bee Fest and then flies away again!
Here's a peek at some of what's been on the exhibit floor recently. |
As we change the displays over time to share more of the collection, items shown toward the bottom of this page may no longer be on exhibit, but the pictures give a sense of the collection.
